Sunday School
This Sunday, our Godly Play class will meet in Chilton Hall Room 2 at 9:45 AM to hear “The Story of Moses” with Miss Jennifer. Please bring your children by 9:45 am so they have plenty of time to respond to the story through play after hearing it. Both our Godly Play class and our Youth Group will be in worship at the 10 am worship service on Sunday, October 30. Please let me know if your family will be there and if your child is interested in ushering, reading, or serving as an acolyte. There will be training before the service to prepare them for their chosen ministry. This is a great opportunity to learn about our worship ministries. If there is another ministry your child is interested in trying, let me know about it and I will figure out how to get them the opportunity.
Youth Group
Youth Group will meet from 6 to 7:30 pm in Chilton Hall Room 6. Please enter through the gates on the North side. We will share some food together, continue our discussion of Genesis , and then play some games. High School students have some opportunities for connecting with other Youth in the Phoenix area with PhLY. On November 19, we will meet at West Valley Lutheran Thrift 10615 W Peoria Ave in Sun City to help them set up Christmas trees to sell. West Valley Lutheran Thrift Store provides funding for PhLY events so this is a great way to give back. On December 2, we will meet at Grace Lutheran and walk around the Downtown Phoenix Frist Friday event. Mark your calendars for MLK weekend, January 13-16 for the Winter Retreat at Camp Aloma in Prescott.
