The Rev. Canon David Ulloa Chavez is a priest and serves as the Canon for Border Ministries in the Episcopal Diocese of Arizona. Prior to serving as Canon, Fr. David served as vicar of Iglesia Episcopal Santa Maria and as Curate of Hispanic Ministry at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral in Phoenix, Arizona. Fr. David has served on the Anti-Racism committee of Episcopal Diocese of Arizona and presently serves as a member of the Advisory Council for Hispanic/Latino Ministry of TEC and on the Mexico Covenant Committee of the General Convention. A graduate of Princeton Theological Seminary (M.Div. 2004/ThM. 2005), Fr. David is a Fellow with the Institute of Pastoral Leadership of Princeton Theological Seminary, a Preaching Fellow with Virginia Theological Seminary (Deep Calls to Deep), and a member of the Association of Borderland Studies. An avid reader, jazz saxophonist, Fr. David is most proud to be the father to two wonderful sons, Ian and Rowan.
