On this beautiful evening, our Men’s Fellowship Ministry served up a delicous pancakes and sausages supper. Everyone got to splurge one last time before Lent begins with Fasting on Ash Wednesday. Everyone was able to eat their fill and enjoy laughter and fellowship! Little Bernadette and Deacon Chuck had a great time getting to know each other a little more.
After dinner we gathered on the patio for a Rite for the Burning of Palms in Preparation for Ash Wednesday. Palms from last year were burned during the short service to make ashes for Ash Wednesday. Last years Palms as you can imagine burn very quickly. Fr. Tim invited everyone to add more palms to the fire, that really kicked up the flames and had the smoke wafting up to the heavens.
