Last Sunday evening, St. John’s Faith Through the Arts Ministry Presented “An Evening with Joel” a musical journey through the life of a Christian Immigrant. Joel Joa is our past Youth Minister and has shared his music with us over the years. Sunday night he told the story of how he and his family immigrated to the United States when he was very young, the struggles of growing up and how he found his music and his faith. It was very moving, enlightening, and uplifting for all who attended! Gracen even joined his dad on stage to play the bongos. We are so blessed to have him, Casey and Gracen as members of St. John’s! Donations for the evening were for Young Life, Glendale, the group that helped Joel start his faith journey. The total donated was $501.00, our vestry outreach program will match that amount and send $1,002.00 to Young Life, Glendale.
