There are many ways that you can offer your time and talent at St. John's.

OUTREACH:
As "the church that serves", St. John's is involved in many outreach programs. If there is something that you would like to add to our outreach program, discuss your idea with our Clergy or Vestry. [more]

St. John's offers several kinds of worship services with the intention of catering to different worship styles. Lay participation in services is an integral part of the Episcopal church and St. Johns. [more]

PLEDGING / PLANNED GIVING:
Many years ago a steward was known to be a trusted caretaker of valued property owned by someone else. The steward was charge with the task of managing those assets for the benefit of the owner and his dependents.

Today we are called upon to be good stewards of the assets God has bestowed upon us. We are asked to return to Him a portion of the riches He has entrusted to us.

A current Estimate of Giving form is included here for those who desire to answer the call to stewardship. Please call the church office to learn more about opportunities for sharing your time and talents at St. John the Baptist.

eSCRIP:
The shopping that you already do for your family can also benefit St. Johns. A percentage of your grocery shopping bill is donated to St. John's when you sign up for eScrip and designate St. John's as your charity.

Go to http://www.escrip.com/ and click on 'Sign Up -- It's Free'. Enter either our group number, 9605010, or type in the church name, 'St. John the Baptist Episcopal Church' and you will be on your way to setting up your grocery purchases to help our church.

GOOD SEARCH:
Go to www.goodsearch.com and enter St John the Baptist Episcopal Church (Glendale AZ) as the charity you want to support. Each time you use Good Search for an internet search, St. John's earns one cent. With as few as 100 supporters searching twice a day St. Johns can earn approx. $730 in one year! It really adds up!

Also, check out the 'Good Shop' section on their website. For example, if you buy a book from Barnes & Noble online, 3% of your purchase will come back to our church.

FOOD PANTRY:
St. John's feeds over 1,000 people a year through our Food Pantry in the Church Office. Donated packaged food can be placed on the collection trays at each side door in the Sanctuary.

PRINTER INK CARTRIDGES :
Bring your printer's ink cartridges to the church: This is really easy! Instead of throwing them out, throw them in the basket near the window in the Parish Hall. Your used cartridges buy paper for our bulletins.

SOUP KITCHEN:
St. John's has a long standing relationship with Chris Becker Dining Hall, a soup kitchen that feeds the homeless. Parishoners serve food, smiles, and donated goods to help those less fortunate.

ADULT EDUCATION:
A regular Bible/Book Study is held on Sunday mornings between services (9:15 - 10:15 AM). Join us!

BIBLE / BOOK STUDY:
A regular Bible Study is held on Wednesday at 11 AM. The study is led by Fr. Harry and follows an interactive format.
